Scrub
The steep bank below Rotherham Road in the north-west corner of
the site has shrubs of Elder and Hawthorn; intermixed with open
grassy areas with Rosebay Willowherb, Hogweed, Thistle, Burdock,
Bindweed, Ragwort, Goosegrass, Japanese Knotweed, Nettle and Rose.
As this bank approaches the woodland, other tree species start
to appear including Sycamore, Oak, and Hazel and the ground flora
becomes dominated by Bramble.
Other areas
of scrub and scattered trees can be found in the west of the site
along the edge of the old canal and the plantation area.
