Treeton Marsh

Before entering Treeton Dyke, Treeton Brook broadens out into Treeton Marsh. Here can be found open water surrounded by Soft Rush, Marsh Marigold, Water Plantain, Angelica, Bittersweet and Reed Canary-grass. Elsewhere, Greater Reedmace, Great Willowherb and Common Reed are dominant. Other species found here include Water Forget-me-not, Gypsywort and the non-native species, Himalayan Balsam which is invading the area.

Surrounding Treeton Marsh is an associated area of wet woodland (also known as 'carr'), composed of Alder and Grey Willow.
