Sycamore dominated woodland

This area, in the south-eastern part of Scholes Coppice, is dominated by Sycamore, together with smaller amounts of Oak and scattered Beech. The trees vary in age, in some areas being over 100 years old whilst in others they are less than half this age. The field layer here consists of Creeping Soft-grass, Bramble, Bluebell and Wood Sorrel.
