Wet Ash & Alder woodland

The narrow strip of wet woodland that follows the streams running around the north and east boundaries of Scholes Coppice has a range of trees including Ash, Oak, Alder, Sycamore and Birch.

There is a varied and diverse field layer with typical ground flora species including the ancient woodland indicators, Opposite-leaved Golden-saxifrage, Remote Sedge and Yellow Pimpernel.
