Coniferous plantations

Three areas of Prior Royd have been densely planted with conifers. Wheata Wood is mainly deciduous apart from a few Pines in the northern-most section and around the 'bomb-hole'.

The ground flora has been largely suppressed in all of these conifer dominated areas.
