CLIFFE WOOD - VEGETATION
Wet Willow woodland
Wet Willow-dominated woodland close to the River Dearne.

The site of Cliffe Wood is composed of a mosaic of different habitats. Dry, semi-natural Oak-Birch woodland is the major woodland type but there are also areas of mixed plantation and wet Willow-dominated woodland.

Large parts of the site are not wooded and instead support scrub, grassland, and small areas of marsh. Just to the south of the site lie areas of open water, these forming part of Dearne
Valley Park.
