GIBBING GREAVE & HERRINGTHORPE WOODS - VEGETATION

Both Gibbing Greave and Herringthorpe Woods are thought to be of ancient origin, meaning that they have been in existence for at least the last 400 years. However, major parts of both woods have, for the past century, been dominated by planted non-native trees.
